What can you use the app for?

Loupe is a photo collage builder that gives users many options to create unique image layouts. Users can add their photographs from anywhere, including those poste to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr and anywhere else on the internet. The application provides a collection of pre-made shapes to choose from. These go beyond simple squares and circles. Users can build words with letters, tulips, hearts, airplanes, stars, moons, puzzle pieces, animals and much more. The building process is extremely easy and fun to watch. The user sees small versions of their photos glide onto the blank canvas as they automatically land in position to form the selected shape. The user can shuffle the images, add new images, choose a background, adjust the number of photos used and change the width of each photo’s border.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Loupe was created to give users a simple way to build eye-catching photo collages online. The application works exceptionally well. It hasn’t received tremendous attention as of yet, but it has been mentioned as an appealing free application in a handful of places. The service is much more appealing than many of the other free photo editing tools that are currently available.

What are the differences to other apps?

One of the biggest differences between Loupe and other collage builders is its user friendly design. The application is extremely easy to use and still gives users a few ways to teak their layouts. Users can change spacing and border width, increase or reduce the number of images that appear and shuffle images. A background color can also be applied to any of the many unique shapes available to all users.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

Loupe really shines when it comes to appearance. The interface is very clean and contains absolutely no clutter. The available shapes are presented across the top of the editor so the user can quickly see their options and jump to another. The process is extremely easy and hassle-free with no annoying advertisements to slow the user down. Overall the application takes minimal effort to learn and is a far better solution than many of the other collage builders found on the web.

How does the registration process work?

New users can begin by clicking the green “Make Your Own” button near the center of the Loupe homepage. The application will ask the user to sign in with their Facebook profile. This is the only way to sign up for Loupe at this time. Most users will find that this login option is rather convenient because they can easily transfer photos from their Facebook albums to Loupe.

What does it cost to use the application?

Loupe offers an attractive service but it isn’t one that most users would be willing to pay for. The application is available to everyone for free. There are no subscription fees and users can build as many collages as they like. This is a great way to encourage more visitors to try the collage maker and share their unique arrangements with others.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Loupe is ideal for any Facebook users who love to edit their photos. The application offers many unique collage shapes that are not usually available elsewhere. The process is extremely easy so the user doesn’t have to have any experience editing images to build a sleek layout. A few customization options further personalize the experience.
